How good are Charcoal Masques?

Charcoal. Still a girls best friend?

Did you know charcoal masques are multitasking and suitable for all skin types.  Dermalogica’s new Charcoal Rescue Masque:

  •  draws out excess toxins, sebum and impurities (via activated binchotan [Japanese ubame oak])
  • promotes cellular renewal (via sulphur)
  • exfoliates the skin (via volcanic ash)
  • increases collagen production (via phytic, lactic and mandelic acids)
  • reduces redness (via niacinamide) and
  • refines pores (via Chilean wild mint).
  • Oh. And apparently charcoal is great for making diamonds. Who knew?

Dermalogica’s Charcoal Rescue Masque can be applied up to four times a week (once a week if you have sensitive skin).

Charcoal. It really is the new….black!

how to use

After cleansing, apply generously to face and throat, avoiding the eye area. You may experience slight tingling. After 3 to 5 minutes, lightly massage with very wet hands to enhance exfoliation properties during removal. Rinse thoroughly.

quick tip

Use whenever skin needs “rescuing.”
